Benefits of FNMRA Membership


Active Member Boards

Active Member Boards of the FNMRA include the agencies that have legislative authority to regulate naturopathic medicine in the United States and Canada.  The executive or managing director of the Active Member Board is the voting representative to the Federation. 



The benefits of membership for Active Member Boards include:
  • Access to a list of final disciplinary actions taken against NDs in North America (working toward reporting from all jurisdictions)
  • A single point of access to links to the laws, regulations, license search, continuing education requirements, and prescriptive authority for all regulated jurisdictions
  • Access to forums for developing model policies and rules
  • Access to forums for discussing disciplinary actions and investigations
  • A subscription to forum updates
  • Member-only access to a directory of all executives of the Active Member Boards
  • Voting rights at FNMRA Member Meetings

Associate Members

Associate Memberships are available to doctors of naturopathic medicine who are:

  • Currently licensed/registered by an Active Member Board
  • Practicing in an unregulated jurisdiction
  • Working to pass legislation to license naturopathic physicians in that jurisdiction


Associate Membership benefits include:
  • Full support of the FNMRA in all legislative efforts
    • Customized letters of support
    • Certificate of membership
    • Membership badge for your website
  • A single point of access to links to the laws, regulations, license search, continuing education requirements, and prescriptive authority for all regulated jurisdictions
  • Access to forums for developing model policies and rules and a subscription to forum updates
  • Member-only access to a directory of all executives of the Member regulatory authorities
