The Academic Consortium for Complementary and Alternative Health Care (ACCAHC) has recently completed a paper in conjunction with with four of its member organizations.
The paper
examines the current and prospective roles of DCs, NDs, LAcs and direct-entry midwives in meeting nation's primary care needs.
The goal of this paper is to assist policy makers, regulators, third-party payers, delivery system administrators, practitioners, and other concerned parties as well as the disciplines themselves in considering the optimal use of these professions as part of the nation’s primary care matrix.
